Meet Pastor DK
Welcome! I am Rev. Dae Kyung Ko, and it is a joy and privilege to serve as the Lead Pastor of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Originally from South Korea, my journey of faith has taken me across different cultures and communities. Part of my childhood was spent in the Philippines, where I watched my parents faithfully serve in ministry. Although I was young, I still remember traveling with my father as he helped build churches and serving alongside my mother as she welcomed and cared for short-term mission teams. Those experiences quietly planted the seeds of my own calling.
God eventually led me to the United States, where I studied at Drew Theological School and answered God’s call to pastoral ministry in The United Methodist Church. Today, I have the privilege of serving this wonderful congregation in Willingboro, New Jersey.
I believe the church is called to be more than a place we attend on Sundays. The church is a family where people grow together, discover God’s grace, and become the hands and feet of Christ in the community. My passion is helping people encounter Jesus, grow as disciples, and find meaningful ways to serve others.
One of the things I enjoy most is listening to people’s stories. Every person has a unique journey, and I believe God is already at work in every life long before we meet. As a pastor, I hope to walk alongside people through seasons of joy, uncertainty, celebration, and hardship while continually pointing them toward the hope we have in Christ.
Whether you have been part of the church for many years, are looking for a church home, or are simply curious about faith, you are welcome here. I would love the opportunity to meet you, hear your story, and walk alongside you as we grow together in Christ.
I hope to see you soon at St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Grace and Peace,
Rev. Dae Kyung Ko
